The military Solar Watch division is dedicated to watching for Solar flares in all of humanities planetary system and to send out warnings of any flares that will impact any planet that humanity is settled on. Solar Watch command centers are by Sectors and under the same General as Solar Array's to ensure that there is no cross chain problems.
Obviously the Alpha Sector Solar Watch is the most active and critical as Earth is the only planet of humanity that does not met the Planet First guidelines in choosing which planets are settled and Solar Flares are a frequent occurrence.
A net of dedicated satellites is positioned around every colony and specialist world in humanities space for Solar Watch's use in determining if any Solar Array staff is in danger from radiation or needs to shut down during a solar storm. Each planet has a dedicated team watching the data that the satellites send them and ensuring that the satellites are working at optimal levels.
Because of the amount of ancient debris in Earth's Solar system and due to the high frequency of activity by the Sun, Earth's Solar Watch often works long hours to analyze the data and ensure that the Solar array is kept function when possible. Read More...
